Gated community to begin pre-leasing later this fall

GAINESVILLE (April 30, 2021) – The first phase of a “back-to-nature” 220-apartment community featuring signature treehouse-style decks and a network of woodland trails is now under construction in the Chestatee/Price Road area off Thompson Bridge Road.

Under local development by Steve McKibbon, Treesort will be a one-of-a-kind 32-acre gated community – and the area’s only multi-family apartment complex of its size in North Hall. It is scheduled to open in early 2022.

“We wanted to create something unique that would appeal to a wide range from young professionals and students to retirees – all with a common love for the outdoors,” said McKibbon. “The Treesort name really captures our vision of combining nature with technology and resort-style amenities.”

Select apartments on the forested sides of the community will have raised decks that extend well beyond the typical apartment balcony, allowing residents to enjoy private 360-degree views. The treehouse theme also extends to a three-level wooden balcony overlooking the community’s central amenity area with a luxury pool with cabanas, meeting and event facility, and state-of-the-art fitness center.

Technology will be another central aspect of the community catering to today’s more flexible lifestyles of distance learning and working from home. All residences will have smart locks opened by smartphones, voice-activated systems, Wi-Fi coverage throughout the campus, fiber optic Internet access in every apartment with speeds up to 1 GB (fastest in Hall County), and access to an on-site Amazon delivery hub with lockers. Treesort’s exercise facility will showcase the region’s latest computerized work-out equipment and video technology.

“Treesort residents will have just about every reason to stay close to home,” said leasing agent Leslie White. “But its location is also convenient to area college campuses, Chestatee schools, Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and all the shopping and dining options available from downtown Gainesville to the mountains to the north.”

With an extensive nature-trail system, a dog park with wash station, fire pits, fountains and numerous local works of public art woven in between, the community will also market to hikers, bikers and pet owners, White said.

The first phase of construction is currently underway and will include 76 units of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in addition to the central amenity area and trails. The apartments will feature luxury vinyl tile floors, granite counters, and stainless-steel appliances in addition to walk-in showers in some select units. Upon completion, Treesort will be home to over 200 apartments.

Pre-leasing for the development will begin in the fall of this year with an initial opening scheduled during the first quarter of 2022.
